Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity (GAHH) is building a land inventory to provide building sites for the next three years. We currently are searching for property near public transportation routes so we can build homes for qualifying low income families. We are very interested in mixed income subdivisions and pre-developed lots, but will consider all possibilities. If you have land you would be willing to donate, or perhaps sell at a discount for tax purposes, we would very much like to have a conversation with you. GAHH’s service area includes both Bernalillo and Sandoval counties.
Greater Albuquerque Habitat will purchase land at fair appraisal value if appropriate and necessary for our needs. However, we do not accept or purchase property in the flood plain and we do not mediate heirship issues. Please note that GAHH may accept land donations that do not fit our anticipated needs and criteria or require too much infrastructure development to be considered buildable for Habitat low income homes. Such sites may subsequently be placed on the open market and proceeds used to purchase other land.
