Week Six at Presbyterian/Catholic Coalition Home All About Drywall

Saturday was devoted to getting the “final” touch up on the exterior painting (fascia and soffits). Contractor has installed the Tyvek and mesh so it’s time for lath inspection.

Main emphasis for the day was installing the dry wall and by day’s end it had all been installed and made ready for taping. Some typical scenes follow.

Bill Garrison checks to make sure the corner got the proper treatment.

It’s always a challenge, how many folks can work in one closet.

Okay, time to round up all those extension cords we were using for the screw guns.

One of the challenges when installing drywall is the provision of outlets and switch boxes. Note how many openings there are in the kitchen area walls.

All of the drywall and corner beading was installed and the house is ready for the taping crew to work their magic. If all goes well interior doors will be installed during Week 7 and the interior painted.
